Chef Louis Tikaram of EP & LP will be serving up tonight’s multi-course menu for ChefDance attendees!
First Course: Steamed striped bass, soy broth, oyster and shimeji mushrooms, ginger & sesame
Second Course: Coconut poached chicken salad, lemon grass, Fresno chili, Vietnamese mint and cilantro
Third Course: Red Peanut curry of Grilled Skirt steak, coconut & Thai Basil. Steamed Jasmine Rice
Dessert: Mango pudding, sago pearls, Yuzu & coconut ice cream
Chef Louis Tikaram is an award-winning rising star Australian chef and avid surfer who recently made the move from Sydney to Los Angeles to open E.P. & L.P., an Asian Eating House and Rooftop Bar. He has surfed the coasts of West Java, Indonesia, Sydney, Australia, Baja coast of Mexico, and, now, the renowned beaches of Southern California. Tikaram’s multifaceted cultural background (Fijian, Chinese, Indian, Scottish, and Australian) combined with his travels throughout Southeast Asia built the foundation for his own unique Asian culinary style. At E.P. & L.P., the 29-year-old chef is intermixing ingredients and techniques that he’s grown up surrounded by—such as fresh turmeric & galangal, exotic spices, fresh seafood, hand squeezed Coconut Milk, and wood grilling—infused with SoCal flavor for a playful take on his favorite foods.
