Four Must-Go-To Events for the East Coast Foodie

Between ChefDances, we think the East Coast is certainly the place to be for foodies this month.  If you happen to be in the NYC or NJ area, check out these upcoming events:

A Veggie Lover’s Paradise

NYC Vegetarian Food Festival

When: March 14-15

Where: New York City

Explore a world of healthy and sustainable lifestyle options that you didn’t know existed at the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival.  The Metropolitan Plaza will host dozens of food vendors who will be offering endless delicious samples to festival goers. Attendees can also look forward to a great list of inspiring speakers and activities for the kids, so there’s no excuse for the little ones to stay home! At $30 per day, we think it’s worth squash-ing any other plans for the weekend!

A Taste of Tuscany

Mario’s Italian American Table

When: March 20

Where: New York City

Indulge in a five course tasting frenzy at the award winning Del Posto of Manhattan, as curated by world renowned chef Mario Batali.  Guests can look forward to rich and decadent favorites like Lobster Ravioli with Garlic Lemon Butter and Rigatoni with Sunday Gravy. You can also expect each dish, right down to the Cannoli Budino, to be perfectly paired with a wine hand selected by Beverage Director Michael Greeson.  The evening promises to be an unforgettable experience for those lucky enough to grab a seat.

Wine Aficionados, Rejoice!

New Jersey Wine and Food Festival

When: March 20-22

Where: Vernon, NJ

With top chef names like David Kinch and Brooks Headley headlining this culinary extravaganza, you can rest assured that your experience at the New Jersey Wine and Food Festival will be nothing short of insanely delicious. The weekend’s agenda is the perfect opportunity for “food and wine lovers to meet and mingle with chefs, winemakers, sommeliers and fellow wine aficionados” on a local and national level.  With tickets starting at $35, there’s every reason to treat yourself to an abundance of great wine, varied cuisine and foodie fanfare!

jubliee-lineup.0.0A Celebration of Women and Food

Cherry Bombe Magazine Jubilee Conference

Where: New York City

Join the celebration of inspiring women in the world of food, entertainment and fine dining.  Guest speakers include Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn, SF), Tanya Holland (Brown Sugar Kitchen, Oakland), and April Bloomfield (Spotted Pig, NYC).  Food Network’s Ina Garten and Padma Lakshmi will also take part in the exciting line-up of talks, panels and presentations.  The whole she-bang runs $225 a ticket at the High Line Hotel in Chelsea, Manhattan.  Even if you can’t make it to the event, you can still listen to the Radio Cherry Bombe live broadcast by way of Heritage Radio online.
